Greetings to all that are concerned with our next scheduled contract. I stated at our General Membership Meeting in June, that the next negotiations meeting with the GLTHS Administration and School Committee was set for June 26th at 5:30 p.m. That meeting was postponed by Superintendent Cassin and the GLTHS School Committee due to a labor attorney not being in place as of that date. While Mr. Morris was at the very end of his term representing the Administration, Mr. Cassin felt that he needed to postpone to a latter date. As of July 12th , there are no meetings scheduled. Mr Cassin stated that sometime after the July 4th holiday this meeting could be rescheduled depending on labor / legal representation being in place. It is my hope that we can come together and schedule meetings prior to the start of our next school year.
I have scheduled a "General Membership Meeting" at the start of our school year. I will bring you any updates on our meetings as well as, mention our intended school year approach based on the status of our negotiations at that time.
